Reinventing learning - rethinking university is the motto of this year's GMW congress, 12 - 14 September in Hamburg. We will look at the following aspects from the different perspectives of learning, teaching and organisation:

• Didactic imagination
• Creative forms of evaluation and quality development
• Higher Education reforms - approaches, strategies, concepts.

Preliminary to the congress are the pre-conference tutorials and workshops on 11 and 12 September.

The official conference opening is on Wednesday, 12 September. Next to international keynotes, a discussion panel and the parallel sessions of GMW and Campus Innovation, there will be an exhibition area and "market place", where higher education institutions and IT providers present their projects and solutions for e-learning and campus management. On the evening of the 12th September a reception by the Senator for Science is taking place in the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. A highlight of the joint congress is the Medida-Prix award ceremony on Thursday, 13 September. The Medida-Prix is awarded in the categories "Digital media in academic teaching" and "Academic development with digital media". Proposals can be submitted until 31 March. (http://www.medidaprix.org/)
